The Web-based roster tool was developed to provide resource management personnel with a flexible and intuitive package for managing scheduling resources. Major components of the system include:
- Matrix: Display or adjust the number of employees scheduled per 30-minute interval. Used to compare and adjust scheduled employees in relation to expected call volumes, based on the required service level and call time specifications.
- Chart: Graphic representation of scheduled vs. required employees per 30-minute interval. The user can apply what-if scenarios by modifying different factors, such as service level spec, volume forecast, sick percentage forecast, etc.
- Roster: Display of actual employee schedules and scheduled breaks for the selected date. User can adjust scheduled breaks from this page for better distribution based on expected call volume per 30-minute interval to better meet service level and occupancy specifications. Changes made here are reflected in the display on the Graph page.
- Distribution: Columnar display of predicted call volume per 30- minute interval for the selected date and campaign. Discrete entries can be made individually into selected cells, or may be pasted in bulk by the user.
- Forecast: Display or adjust predicted overall call volume predictions for the selected date.
- Export: Allows the user to copy the current day's list of scheduled employees, including breaks, and paste it into Excel for analysis and intra-day reporting.
